A dance at the crossroads of contemporary and hip-hop, with a DJ set!

A hybrid ensemble offers an impulsive choreography in which writing and improvisation overlap. Parachuted into space-time, the dancers act in unison to deal with urgency, looking to the future, loving and struggling at every moment. What counts is living furiously and dancing until the end. The countdown begins, 2048 seconds in which time, whether social, historical or musical, rushes by, stops, calls up memories and projections. The races, pauses, bugs and suspensions conjure up the past, the present moment, the time that remains and the infinity of things.

“A hybrid dance at the crossroads of contemporary and hip-hop, 2048 is a piece for 4 dancers and 2 female dancers. At the back of the stage, DJ Maclarnaque composes the music live with her turntables and electronic drums. Wearing baggy shirts and trousers, the dancers perform an energetic dance, sometimes warlike and jerky, sometimes fluid and light-hearted, right up to the dazzling finale to Ravel’s Bolero.
