The Soldi’Erdre Repair Café is celebrating its first birthday! To mark the occasion, it will be opening its doors all day long.

What do you do with a toaster that won’t toast? a hoover that won’t vacuum? a lawnmower that won’t mow? a bicycle that won’t pedal? a trouser fastener that won’t zip?…

Throw them away? No way! Let’s fix them together!

Here are a few examples of what we can do:

small electrical appliances: toasters, coffee makers, hairdryers, lamps, microwaves, deep fryers, etc.
garden tools: hedge trimmers, lawnmowers, small tools, etc.
Sewing: clothes, curtains, bags, introduction to using a sewing machine, simple creations, etc.
Digital equipment: phones, tablets, PCs, advice on how to use them, etc.
audiovisual equipment: radio, television, hi-fi, record players, etc.
bicycles: mechanical or electric, tyres, brakes, chain, etc.
small furniture: chairs, shelves, small pieces of furniture, etc.
welding, etc.

For sewing, the team of seamstresses offers an introduction to the sewing machine by making reusable wipes/sopalin/cellophane, and perhaps in the future by making creations from simple patterns. The programme will evolve according to the wishes and needs of each participant.
