We follow the journey of a young girl with a bright future: Lou, 15, a good student with no apparent problems. But she’s in the midst of an identity quest, obsessed with her image and the idea of becoming “someone”… Her life is turned upside down by remarks about her looks and the way she eats. She began to watch her figure, tracking down every last kilo. She drastically restricted her diet or gave in to uncontrolled binges where she compulsively swallowed everything she could… She secretly suffered from eating disorders.
After tackling the themes of harassment and conspiracy theories, Anima Compagnie continues to dissect contemporary societal issues, particularly those that affect teenagers.
