An historic heritage

Ancenis Castle, the first castle in the Marches de Bretagne, is one of the town's historic jewels, marking the importance ofAncenis-Saint-Géréon over the centuries.

A veritable local institution, the Thursday morning market, located in the Halle des Vinaigriers and Place Saint-Pierre, has existed for over 500 years. Over the years, it has been bolstered by two little brothers: the Saturday morning market on rue du Pont and the Tuesday evening farmers' market in the Gotha car park.
