Cello in hand since childhood, Cécile Lacharme was soon exploring horizons other than classical: gypsy jazz, improvisation, pop-rock collaborations and artistic encounters in South-East Asia.
On her return to France, she developed a singular sound work combining effects, loopstation and electronic music, where the cello becomes material for sculpting.
With her first album, Dérives (2026), she takes us on an orchestral journey through tumult, lulls and contemporary questioning.
