Come and discover an expressive and meaningful exhibition.
Claude Touchais describes himself as an “image-maker”; images are essential to him and, in part, define who he is. For him, it is a way of conveying an idea or a concept, of getting a message across – even a single word. It offers a palette of infinite exploration, free from taboos.
It is this passion, which has driven him since the age of 7, that led Claude Touchais to develop a keen interest, from the age of 14 when he discovered the École des Beaux-Arts in Angers, in gouache and its complex, ephemeral techniques. He went on to perfect his oil painting skills by restoring frescoes and decorative murals, before moving into graphic design and digital illustration, with a particular interest in children’s book illustration.
There are no limits to Claude Touchais’s creativity; he has an insatiable desire to explore all forms of pictorial expression without restraint. His sole aim is to convey emotions and atmospheres, and to share stories with his audience.
And that’s exactly it! You’ll be able to meet the artist every day from Wednesday to Sunday at the Logis Renaissance.
