ANCENIS-SAINT-GEREON

Eden cinema and Les filles de l’Eden are celebrating 8 March with screenings on women’s health.

14: Olivia by Irène Iborra (age 8+)
At the age of 12, Olivia’s life is turned upside down from one day to the next. She has to get used to a new, more modest life and look after her little brother Tim on her own. But fortunately, their encounter with some warm and colourful neighbours will turn their world into a real adventure film! Together, they’ll turn every challenge into a game and every day into an unforgettable moment.

2.30pm: Tereza’s travels by Gabriel Mascaro
A boat movie about an ageing woman and her dreams, a film that places elderly women at the heart of the plot.

4.30pm: La maison des femmes by Mélisa Godet
At the Maison des Femmes, women who are victims of violence are cared for. Elsewhere, their suffering is ignored. Here, they are listened to, supported, helped and believed. The film will be preceded by a performance of “Every woman is riot” by Meriem Gabou’s company.

8.30pm: Couture by Alice Winocour
In Paris, amid the hustle and bustle of Fashion Week, Maxine, an American film-maker, hears news that will turn her life upside down. She crosses paths with Ada, a young South Sudanese model who has left her country, and Angèle, a French make-up artist aspiring to a different life. Between these three women from very different backgrounds, an unsuspected solidarity develops.
