To finally hear the trees speak: “The tree said to me: put your ear against my bark; can you hear our heart beating?
Hearing about all the trees, about our shared stories, friendships and seasons: “Trees have big tongues; it’s only in winter that they shut up, when they’ve given their tongues to the wind”.
Telling the story of the roots, trunks, branches and leaves that vibrate with life and sing through time and space, to replenish human breath: “Suppose I were a tree, what birds would I want to shelter in my branches?
With these “Paroles d’arbres”, Philippe Mathé (actor-reader at BiblioThéâtre) and François Pernel (harpist, original scores) have chosen to celebrate these “wild and wise horses with green manes, galloping discreetly…” (quotes by Jean-Pierre Siméon) with some twenty extracts from “realistic”, smiling and poetic texts. (quotes from Jean-Pierre Siméon, Joël Sadeler)
To finally hear the trees speak, to hear about all the trees, about our shared histories, friendships and seasons, to recount the roots, trunks, branches and leaves that vibrate with Life and sing in time and space, to replenish human breath.
