Come along to the concert and open-sandwich evening on Friday 25 September.
To round off the summer in style, we’re organising an evening of drinks, open sandwiches and live music on 25 September from 7.00 pm at Le Four des Rails.
We’ll be welcoming Barnola & The Lazy Monkeys, a Freak Folk quartet, whose sound blends 1960s folk with melodic blues, at times bluegrass, at times rock.
With socially conscious, gritty lyrics centred on love and social commentary, their musical journey offers plenty of opportunities to experience the danceable warmth of their repertoire, blending electric and acoustic sounds with raw percussion.
This journey we invite you on is inspired by great explorers of sound and rhythm such as Tom Waits, Exuma and PJ Harvey. The poetry of these compositions will immerse you deeply in the issues of the day, through inspiring and haunting melodies.
We’ll round off this wonderful evening with an artist well known in these parts: DJ Améthyste! And this time with a dub set, which is sure to take you on a journey through some brilliant international basslines.
There’ll be drinks available on the night, as well as our open sandwiches, which are making a comeback for this final evening.
