On the weekend of 19 and 20 September, come and (re)discover the heritage of the Pays d’Ancenis as part of the European Heritage Days (JEP)!

The Chapel of Les Hommeaux, dedicated to the Holy Family, was built in 1630 by the lords of Les Hommeaux.

For the past few years, it has been undergoing restoration work. Several local businesses have been involved in saving this building:
– Gaby Bellion, a roofer from Teillé and an expert in the restoration of historic monuments, has rebuilt the highly complex roof structure, which has an inverted hull shape, and has installed slightly domed coffin-shaped slates, which are necessary for this type of roof.
– Chloé Quiban, a glazier in Riaillé, restored the two small stained-glass windows with the help of Clément Mouturier, a cabinetmaker in Riaillé.
– The Palussière company of Vair-sur-Loire (Anetz) carried out the masonry repairs and replaced the tuffeau stone window surrounds.
