Over the weekend of 19 and 20 September, come and (re)discover the heritage of the Pays d’Ancenis as part of the European Heritage Days (JEP)!
A guided tour of the former parish church of Saint-Sulpice-des-Landes (between Saint-Mars-la-Jaille and La Chapelle-Glain), dating from the 14th and 15th centuries, which houses remarkable murals listed as Historic Monuments. They depict the life of Christ.
The church has been preserved thanks to the efforts of the Loire-Atlantique Department, which has owned it since 1979. Its little-known interior décor, which can be difficult to interpret, is presented and explained to you by a heritage guide.
The site is not accessible to people with reduced mobility.
Outside these times, guided tours are available only for groups and must be booked in advance at the reception desk of Châteaubriant Castle.
