On Sunday 20 September, come and (re)discover the heritage of the Pays d’Ancenis as part of the European Heritage Days (JEP)! This year, 2026, the theme is the history of coal and lime.
Come and explore rural life from 1900 to 1950 at your leisure at the Au Siècle Passé Museum.
– Production and sale of Alize in the museum’s oven.
– In partnership with the Centre Régional des Pierres Levées, a 9 km walking trail entitled ‘The Coal and Lime Trail’ will be available.
This trail will allow you to discover the history of coal and lime in the villages of Teillé and Mouzeil.
Several stops are planned along the route (history of the first and second concessions, the formation of coal, fossils, the operation of lime kilns, personal accounts, photos, information panels, etc.).
Christine STRULLU-DERRIEN, a palaeobotanist, will be present at the monumental sculpture park.
