Vie de Château, Loire Wines: guided tour of Château d’Oudon and wine tasting at Domaine des Génaudières

On 17 and 18 October at 6pm, Château d’Oudon opens its doors for a unique sensory experience, combining discovery of its heritage with wine tasting at the Domaine des Génaudières.
As part of the national event Vignobles en scène, Château d’Oudon is teaming up with the Domaine des Génaudières to offer a unique guided tour, culminating in a commented tasting of local wines. On an autumn evening, the château is decked out in its most beautiful colours. A costumed guide leads you through its historic rooms, where history and mystery are intertwined. Then it’s time to taste the wines of the Domaine des Génaudières with Anne Athimon, a passionate winemaker. She talks about the vines, the wine and the magic of each vintage: “All the way through before it flows into the glass, it’s a space that expresses itself. It’s a living thing. Each vintage is a different story. A meeting where heritage and terroir come together for a unique sensory experience.
