Château de la Verrerie – Chambres d’hôtes

Charming guest rooms in a fully renovated 19th-century château overlooking the Loire. Four rooms and suites with en-suite bathrooms and air conditioning, breakfast included, just a stone’s throw from the station (Angers 22 mins, Nantes 31 mins by train).

Abandoned for 40 years, the Château de la Verrerie was bought in 2024 by Charlotte and Grégoire, who are renovating it largely themselves. It now welcomes guests in four luxury guest rooms, each named after a historical figure linked to Ingrandes:

– Anne of Brittany Room (40 m²): queen-size bed, two-seater spa bath, shower and toilet.
– Foulques V d’Anjou Suite (40 m²): Baroque décor, queen-size bed, small private sitting area, shower and WC, view of the Loire.
– Henri Grandin Privilege Suite (40 m²): king-size bed, retro bath in the bedroom, shower, WC, dressing room, three-sided views and a view of the Loire.
– Michel-Marie de Raspiller Family Suite (50 m²): two connecting bedrooms accommodating up to 4 people, flexible bedding arrangements, shower room and WC, view of the Loire.

All rooms are equipped with reversible air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a Smart TV (Netflix, Prime Video) and a coffee machine with tea. Breakfast is included and served in your room between 7.30 am and 10.30 am: a choice of hot drinks, pastries, a baguette, pancakes, fromage blanc, fruit juice and fresh fruit.

Guests can also enjoy the large lounge, the small lounge, the billiards room, the terrace, the garden with sun loungers and the table tennis table. Free on-site parking.

The River Loire is right next door, and the railway station, bakery, chemist’s and restaurants are a 5-minute walk away.

Nearby: Serrant Castle, the Montjean-sur-Loire vineyards and Saint-Florent-le-Vieil are 10 minutes’ drive away; Angers is 25 minutes’ drive away; Nantes is 55 minutes’ drive away; and Puy du Fou is 1 hour’s drive away.

The château can also be hired in its entirety (ground floor, first floor and outdoor areas) for 15 people: 6 bedrooms, semi-professional kitchen, lounges and garden, with bed linen, towels and cleaning included. The rate for renting the entire château is €500 per night.
