Circuit de la Loge au Moine

LIGNE

The Loge au Moine trail offers a pleasant mix of heritage and nature, with forests, pine trees, shady paths and a greenway.

14.7 kilometres.

Along the way, you’ll pass through hamlets and places steeped in history, such as the home of one of Jacques Prévert’s grandmothers at La Briantière, or the Croix de la Bique and its legend: it is said that a strange creature once prowled near the Croix de la Bique: the Bigaine, a possessed white goat. In fact, the legend originated when a traveller was frightened by a leper covered in a white robe.

The walk takes in the Loge au Moine stream, also known as the Ribodet, which rises in the Vau pond near the Landes mill and flows into the Havre at Couffé.

The route also takes in part of the voie verte, a former railway line now converted into a footpath, linking Carquefou to Candé over a distance of almost 50 kilometres.
