Circuit de la Rigole des Ajaux

The Rigole des Ajaux trail is a pretty, bucolic walk on the edge of the forest. Ideal for discovering the flora and fauna of the Ancenis region.

Starting from the Provostière pond, this walk takes you on a tour of the Ajaux ditch, a feeder ditch that links the Provostière and Poitevinière ponds and flows into the Vioreau lake. It supplies water to the Nantes-Brest canal.
Venture along the channel and through the narrow country roads. Observe the architecture of the little bridges and enjoy the peace and quiet of the waterside.
