Take the Folies Siffait trail through the Coulée du Refou and all the way to the banks of the Loire for a change of scenery in the heart of nature, alternating between heritage, architecture, viewpoints and varied landscapes.
5.8 kilometres.
This hike takes you through the Cellier coulees, home to a variety of vegetation including several rare mountain and continental plant species. These deep, narrow cuts, carved out by run-off, have given rise to picturesque landscapes to discover on foot. The entire circuit is 5.8 km long (estimated duration: 1 hour 45 minutes).
During this walk, take in the Folies Siffait, a monumental work by Maximilien Siffait, completed by his son Oswald Siffait in the mid-19th century, comprising a labyrinth of terraces overlooking the Loire, niches, balconies and trompe l’oeil windows.
Take the opportunity to visit the village of Saint-Méen and enjoy the exceptional panoramic views over the Loire.
