Circuit du lac de Vioreau

Discover a beautiful walk around the Lac de Vioreau. Between lake and forest, observe the flora and fauna that make up this sensitive site in the Loire-Atlantique region. A must-see in any season, the changing colours set a different tone at every time of year.

Located on the edge of the forest, you can make a day of it by taking a walk around the lake. The 10.6-kilometre loop runs alongside the barges in a calm and relaxing environment. It’s the perfect opportunity to discover all the facets of this site: the beach, the natural areas, the characterful houses and the vast Vioreau forest. Take the opportunity to swim in the lake during the summer months.

This is a tour you can do all year round: in spring, nature awakens and the shores of the lake are dry. You can also return at the end of September, to see the trees decked out in their autumn colours and giving a new tone to the landscape.
