Let yourself be guided by this Uni’Vert Trail, which plunges you into the heart of Couffé’s heritage. A trail in harmony with nature, where each stage reveals a little more of the history and beauty of this unspoilt area.
8.1 kilometres.
The route starts from the rest area on the RD21. Surrounded by soothing countryside, this is an inviting place to relax before you even start your adventure.
At the start of your route, you pass through the locality of La Métellerie. Here you’ll see an old-fashioned bread barn and a large pillared barn.
The route continues through the Loge au Moine and Hâvre valleys, natural areas classified as Natura 2000 zones. These unspoilt valleys, with their ancient meadows and hedge-lined paths, are home to some exceptional flora and fauna.
The passage over the Pont Noyer is a key point on the tour. Long ago, this bridge was the site of an ancient road crossing the River Hâvre. A place steeped in history, atypical and emblematic of Couffé.
This tour, with its unspoilt landscapes, peaceful valleys and witnesses to the past, will bring you closer to nature and local history.
Practical information :
Please note that the Pont Noyer footbridge is removed from 1 November to 15 April, depending on the low-water level of the river.
During the hunting season, from September to February, a 1,000-metre stretch of the river is closed to hikers, runners and mountain bikers on Sundays and public holidays, as well as during hunts specified by municipal decree.
