Situated in the fishing village of La Meilleraie, in Varades, this house has an exterior slate staircase. General Bonchamps died here on 18 October 1793.
The house has two floors devoted to exhibitions (painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, etc.).
Maison Bonchamps, a historic site, offers exhibitions from spring to autumn, weekends and public holidays, from 11am to 7pm, except in summer, and on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in July, August and September. The programme is available on the Varades Town Hall website.
