Permanent exhibition
To the east, the dawn of life, a monumental fountain marks the starting point of two axes:
The ‘Line of Psyche’: an alignment of 50 megaliths erected at the summer solstice,
The ‘Line of the Soul’: a collection of more autobiographical works.
Thus, across 10 hectares, you will pass successively through the poets’ orchard, the scent garden (curated by the Yves Rocher Foundation of France), the nursery of European woody plants (in collaboration with the École de Briacé), the anthropomorphic species, the sequoia plantation, the ash tree maze, the open-air theatre (with potential for stage design), the ‘mourners’, the ‘little people’ and many other discoveries… It is possible to have a picnic on the site in the shade of the trees.
A conveyor of dreams and a practitioner of the living element, the sculptor Jean-Claude Lambert presents works that provoke reflection. The park’s spatial geometry is intended to be autobiographical, where tranquillity and rebellion, duality and fertility, and Mother Earth play upon our imagination and invite us on a journey…
An introduction to the sculptor’s work
Focusing on the clay models, which are transformed into either wooden or bronze sculptures, or into miniature or monumental works on display in the park during the tour.
– An introduction to the different types of wood used in sculpture and an explanation of how a tree grows.
– A look at the plaster moulds used by the foundry to cast the bronzes.
– An explanation of the various methods used to work with stone.
You will also be shown various research tools used by the sculptor to develop and create new forms, with an insight into the creative process.
