Located near the town of Freigné, the lake offers a peaceful, leafy setting for walkers. Come and enjoy the peace and quiet for a picnic or an afternoon with the family. Fishermen can also cast their lines on the banks of the lake.
A wooded area in the heart of nature, the Freigné lake is a bucolic spot ideal for walks and fishing. A little haven of peace and tranquillity with a play area for children, the lake is ideal for picnics by the water. There are a few picnic tables, but don’t hesitate to spread out your picnic blanket to get as close as possible to this natural area!
There’s no better way to digest your lunch than along the lakeside footpath, where you can discover the old wash-house and its stone bridge. It was a daily meeting place for washerwomen and housewives, who came to wash and rinse their clothes in all seasons.
Anglers can set up their lines at the water’s edge. They can hope to catch pike, carp, pike-perch or roach. Fishing permits are available from the Gaule St Marsienne at the Vival (rue du Maréchal de Bourmont) in Freigné. Calling all fishing fans!
This natural area is the ideal place for a shady walk, a family picnic or a fishing trip. A great day out by the water!
