Studio La surface des choses, a textile design studio.
In her studio, the artist and designer Anissa Allam-Vaquez is developing a research and creative project centred on textiles and patterns. Each piece is conceived, crafted and assembled in the workshop.
After studying at the École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts, she trained in textile finishing, specialising in the ‘Lyon-style’ flat-frame table printing technique.
The artist is committed to slow design and traditional craftsmanship, and invites us to slow down our consumption whilst seeking beauty through traditional techniques integrated into our contemporary daily lives.
