Parcours Permanent d’Orientation – Ancenis-Saint-Géréon – L’île Mouchet

ANCENIS-SAINT-GEREON

Set off on the hunt for beacons on this orienteering circuit located on a former island on the banks of the Loire. It’s the perfect way to have fun as a group, with friends or with the family!

Set off on a 1½ to 3-hour treasure hunt along this orienteering course set in the heart of the countryside (a Natura 2000 site) on a former island on the banks of the Loire, south of Ancenis-Saint-Géréon. Whether you’re sporty or not, this is the perfect opportunity to get some fresh air and have fun!

There are two routes: a full circuit with just under 50 checkpoints, and a shorter, star-shaped route with 12 checkpoints.

How does it work? It’s simple: you decide on the route you want your group to follow; the group sets off in search of the checkpoints using the attached map, then punches the boxes on the checkpoint map as they go along. And why not try a variation with a timed race?

> Estimated average time: between 1h30 and 3h
> Parking: La Charbonnière car park, near the Davrays stadium
> Please note: the route passes through a flood-prone area – check the water level of the River Loire before setting off

Please note that there are plenty of outdoor activities nearby: archery, a football pitch, a swin golf course and a fitness trail…
